In January 2004 my husband Andrew Triggs
moved to Mongolia for work purposes. I stayed in my much loved Australia.
While Andrew was away I spent many hours searching the internet for
information on Mongolia. I found very little up to date information, how
ever I did learn about an orphanage which was founded by an Australian women
called Didi.
Andrew went to visit the orphanage on many occasions, he spent time playing
soccer with the children and spoke in length with Didi about the children of
Mongolia and he learnt about the tragic poverty and the many homeless
children and families who lived under ground in the severe winter months and
then on the streets in the warmer months.
After much research from both of us, we decided I should move to Mongolia
and together we might be able to help some of these families and homeless
children.
At the time of my decision to move to Mongolia I was in grossed in Christina
Nobles book “Mama Tina”. Christina became one of my motivations to move to
Mongolia and make a difference in a child s life.
In February 2003 I went to visit Mongolia and I too fell in love with this
country, even though the cold temperatures were totally alien to me I was
mesmerized by the endless mountains draped in white snow blankets.
While in Mongolia I met with many reputable charities helping teenagers and
families living in tragic poverty. I noted all the ways in which I could
help and I heard many heart breaking stories…
Once back in Australia I relayed these stories and the list of things which
we took for granted but would mean the difference between death and survival
for many Mongolian families and homeless children. These stories touched
many beautiful Australian hearts and they busily began collecting donations
from companies and schools and many other resources. We were given free
storage and transport of donations thanks to Tanya’s persistence and energy
and the good will of many companies.
I returned to Mongolia to start my new life with my family and I began the
A.N.T Foundation. We are still collecting donations in South Australia
thanks to many dedicated volunteers and Tanya has moved to Mongolia to help
me with the foundation work.
Please read on about all the work we have done to date and should you be
able to help in any way please do not hesitate to contact us via email.
Never feel that one person can not make a difference – there is no such
reward as using ones God given talents to help others.
Regards Nicolette Triggs
In September of 2004 the opportunity became
available for me to move to Mongolia and work with Nicolette and start
the A.N.T Foundation.
Prior to leaving for Mongolia I collected donations for many charities
in Ulaanbaatar. While in Adelaide along with many generous helpers and
businesses I collected over two hundred boxes of donations consisting
of toiletries, clothing, bedding and stationary, which over time have
all be distributed. Living in Mongolia is a real eye opener, if everybody
was to give one small item, what a difference it would make.
Thank you to all the wonderful people who have supported us to date, without
your generosity and donations we would not be where we are today.

In 2006 I began working with the A.N.T Foundation,
my role with in the foundation is the primary teacher at the cancer hospital.
Working with Guidance A.N.T foundation and the school at the cancer hospital
is truely rewarding, I have met some amazing people. I love working with
the children, twice a weekl at the school. I teach a variety of subjects,
such as Mongolian, English and Art. Their spirit and determination is
inspirational.
